GRANARY BOUTIQUE SUITES HOTEL
Destitute and neglected, the historic Mennicza Granary had lost the majority of its attributes. All that remained were tell-tale signs of its original scale and form. Our aim was to carefully and painstakingly renovate what remained of this medieval landmark and to create a new, contemporary boutique hotel. The renovation was as much about the inherent historical value of the building as it was about innovation and metamorphosis. What had originally been a store for grain within a sealed pitched roof evolved into a container of human activities within a transparent glass roof that is filtered by timber louvers.
Completed in 2009 by Asaf Gottesman and Gottesman Szmelcman Architecture, The Granary Suite Hotel is arguably the leading luxury boutique hotel in Wroclaw, enjoying extremely high occupancy rates and the best REVPARs in the city. Rather than opting for a branded hotel chain management, we chose to establish our own and to create our unique brand. Not only has this been a success in terms of hotel performance, but the hands on, accumulated experience of running an hotel has served as an invaluable tool for future developments in the domain of Hospitality.
